App
BE LIGHT is a multisensory wellbeing method that combines light, music & sound, breathwork, and guided instruction to intentionally shift your mental state. You can experience BE LIGHT through three products: the BE LIGHT App, live events, and corporate wellbeing programs.
Next step (for you): Download the app from the App Store or Google Play and create an account — or use the Web App ("View on Web App"): https://link.be-light.app/websitewebapp — then choose a session that matches your goal (e.g. "Reset").
Compatibility means you can use BE LIGHT on your smartphone and/or via the web app depending on your setup. For a larger visual experience, you can use a projector through the web app or mirror your smartphone screen (screen mirroring).
Next step (for you): If you want a big-screen setup: test a short session first to check audio, brightness, and comfort.
A session is a guided experience with a fixed structure and duration. You can select sessions in the app (and in the web app, if you use it) by category or goal.
Next step (for you): Find a quiet spot, set the volume to moderate, choose a session, and start it.
Session length is the time per unit (e.g. 10–20 minutes). Consistency is often more important than the length of a single session.
Next step (for you): Start with short sessions 3–4 times per week and adjust based on how you feel.
A subscription is a recurring payment that renews automatically until you cancel. Pricing and plans are available in the app (Premium menu) and in the App Store / Google Play, as billing is handled there.
Next step (for you): Open subscription management in your Apple/Google account and cancel before the next billing date; for questions, use the chatbot (bottom right) or write to we-care@be-light.app.
Data deletion means your profile and associated information will be removed — to the extent technically possible. Profile data can usually be deleted in the app; analytics data may be anonymized and may only be removed by the team.
Next step (for you): For a deletion request, use this form: https://belight-contact.flutterflow.app/
Login means signing in via email or social login (e.g. Apple/Google). Issues often arise when a different login method or email address is used than the one used to register.
Next step (for you): Use the same login method as before, reset your password if needed, and contact us via the chatbot or email at we-care@be-light.app.
A discount code is a voucher that reduces the price. Depending on the offer, the code is redeemed at the in-app checkout or via a special link; not every code applies to every plan or region.
Next step (for you): Open Premium → Subscription/Purchase and look for "Redeem code" (if available) or follow the campaign link; if it doesn't work, use the chatbot or write to we-care@be-light.app.
Audio issues mean sound isn't playing or is routed incorrectly — often due to mute/volume settings, Bluetooth output, Focus/Do Not Disturb mode, or wrong output device.
Next step (for you): Check volume, headphones/Bluetooth, system sound, restart the app, and if needed send your device + OS version via the chatbot or to we-care@be-light.app.
Push notifications are alerts your smartphone shows even when the app is closed. You control them in your smartphone's system settings.
Next step (for you): Open Settings → Apps → BE LIGHT → Notifications and adjust as needed.
Offline use means content is available without an internet connection. Offline sessions are a Premium feature and require you to download sessions while online first.
Next step (for you): If you have Premium: download sessions over Wi-Fi, then use them offline; for questions, use the chatbot or write to we-care@be-light.app.
Safety
Safety means only using BE LIGHT when no contraindications are present. Some people should avoid light pulses or certain sensory stimuli (e.g. with certain neurological conditions).
Next step (for you): Read the notes in our Medical Disclaimer (Safety): https://www.be-light.app/medical-disclaimer and use audio-only if in doubt.
Light sensitivity means flickering or intense light can trigger symptoms; photosensitive epilepsy can pose a serious risk. If you have (or suspect) epilepsy or are highly light-sensitive, you should avoid light pulses.
Next step (for you): Use audio-only and read https://www.be-light.app/medical-disclaimer; consult a physician if in doubt.
Feeling unwell is a warning signal that your body needs a break. This can be caused by overstimulation, stress, or an unsuitable setting.
Next step (for you): Stop the session immediately, look away from the light, breathe calmly, drink water, and start again later with a shorter session at lower intensity.
Side effects are unwanted reactions such as a brief headache, dizziness, or a feeling of overstimulation. Most people don't experience these; if it happens, it's often a sign that intensity, volume, or duration was too high.
Next step (for you): Start gently (short, moderate volume, lower light intensity), take breaks if something doesn't feel right, and restart later with less intensity. If symptoms persist: use audio-only and read https://www.be-light.app/medical-disclaimer.
This is an individual risk assessment, because sensory stimuli, sleep, stress, and medication can interact differently for each person. BE LIGHT does not replace medical advice.
Next step (for you): Read https://www.be-light.app/medical-disclaimer and clarify any uncertainties with your doctor or therapist.
No. A session is an attention/state exercise that can alter perception and reaction time.
Next step (for you): Only use BE LIGHT when you are safely seated/lying down and are not responsible for traffic or machinery.
Intensity describes how strongly light and volume affect you. Too-high intensity can — especially at the start — lead to overstimulation more quickly; very low intensity can make the experience less effective.
Next step (for you): Start with low intensity and short sessions, and only increase when you feel stably comfortable (see https://www.be-light.app/medical-disclaimer).
Evening use means sessions close to bedtime; depending on the person and session type, this can be calming or activating. We offer sessions designed for sleep and recovery.
Next step (for you): Choose an "Evening & Sleep" session, reduce intensity if needed, and allow 30–60 minutes buffer before sleep. If your sleep gets worse, use BE LIGHT earlier in the day.
If you are prone to these, symptoms can occur more quickly from sensory stimuli — especially light pulses. Extra caution is advisable.
Next step (for you): Start with audio-only at very short duration and low intensity, stop immediately if discomfort occurs, and consult a doctor if needed (see https://www.be-light.app/medical-disclaimer).
Science
Light and sound are sensory, non-invasive inputs that can influence attention, relaxation, and mental state. Research explores such stimuli in the context of stress regulation and focus, among other areas.
Next step (for you): Use our Science page as an overview: https://www.be-light.app/science and start with short sessions.
AVS describes targeted stimulation via sound and/or light; "entrainment" refers to the tendency to synchronize with rhythmic stimuli. Effects vary depending on intensity, duration, and individual response.
Next step (for you): Start with short sessions and note how you feel before/after. More: https://www.be-light.app/science
BE LIGHT is a wellbeing/training tool, not a medical device. It can support relaxation and mental fitness but does not replace diagnosis or treatment.
Next step (for you): For health concerns: use it as a complement and seek medical advice.
Results are individual changes such as greater calm, easier switching off, or better focus — and they vary. Setting, consistency, and choosing the right session type usually matter most.
Next step (for you): Test for 2 weeks (e.g. 6–8 sessions) and keep the formats that feel most reliable for you.
Evidence consists of scientific sources describing effects under specific conditions. There is research on AVS-adjacent approaches and relaxation/focus interventions, but results depend on setup and target group.
Next step (for you): See references on our Science page: https://www.be-light.app/science
Measurement means observing changes over time in a structured way — subjectively (ratings) and/or objectively (wearables). Not every change is immediately visible, but trends can emerge over days and weeks.
Next step (for you): Use 1–10 ratings before/after sessions for 2–4 weeks and compare with wearable trends (if you use one).
Wearables estimate values like heart rate, HRV, and sleep via sensors, so results vary by device and person. During or after a session, breathing rhythm, heart rate, or recovery markers may change — sometimes immediately, often more as a trend over time.
Next step (for you): Measure a baseline week, then use BE LIGHT consistently for 2–3 weeks (ideally at the same time of day) — evaluate trends rather than single readings.
Some wearables label "stress" based on patterns like elevated heart rate or lower HRV — but this can also reflect positive activation (energy, enthusiasm, focus) or measurement artifacts (movement, poor sensor contact). "Stress" doesn't automatically mean something is wrong — context matters.
Next step (for you): Compare the wearable label with your own perception (quick 1–10 check), use a calmer session or lower intensity if needed, and focus on long-term trends (recovery/sleep) rather than a single value.
These methods use different mechanisms: meditation/breathwork are active practices, binaural beats are audio-only; BE LIGHT combines guided sessions with music and optional light stimulation.
Next step (for you): Use BE LIGHT as a complementary "reset" module and compare what works best for you in which situations.
Differences depend on factors like setting, stress level, sleep, sensitivity, environment, and expectations. It's normal for the same session to feel strong for one person and more subtle for another.
Next step (for you): Test 2–3 session types over two weeks and note briefly before/after to find your best match.
Events
Events are live experiences in which BE LIGHT sessions are guided on-site in special settings (e.g. Relax/Flow Rooms, stage formats). They often combine music, light, and a guided dramaturgy.
Next step (for you): Check upcoming dates on the events page: https://www.be-light.app/events
Registration means securing your spot via ticketing or sign-up. Depending on the event, spaces may be limited.
Next step (for you): Open the event detail page at https://www.be-light.app/events and use the ticket/registration link.
Duration is the planned time from doors open to end; the program varies by event. Typical elements include a brief introduction, a guided experience, and a short wind-down/integration.
Next step (for you): Check start time, doors open, and venue notes on the event detail page.
Preparation means attending with a comfortable setup for an optimal experience. Usually comfortable clothing and water are enough; arriving early helps for some formats.
Next step (for you): Read the notes on the event detail page (duration, doors open, venue guidance).
Cancellation/rebooking depends on the ticketing provider and the specific event conditions. Policies differ by organizer.
Next step (for you): Check the terms on the event page or ticket link; for questions, use the chatbot or write to we-care@be-light.app.
Recaps are summaries with highlights, key takeaways, and sometimes media content. They help you choose the right format. Photos or videos may be taken at events; details are on the event page.
Next step (for you): Look for "Past Events"/recaps in the events section, or use the chatbot or write to we-care@be-light.app.
Location info includes address, entry point, and directions. These details vary by venue.
Next step (for you): Check the event detail page for address/directions; if anything is missing, use the chatbot or write to we-care@be-light.app.
Accessibility means participation is possible without unnecessary barriers (e.g. step-free access, seating options). This depends on the specific venue.
Next step (for you): Check the event detail page or ask before purchasing your ticket via the chatbot or we-care@be-light.app.
Late entry means you arrive after the start, which can affect participation depending on the format. Some parts (e.g. a brief safety briefing) are important to catch.
Next step (for you): Plan a 10–15 minute buffer and follow on-site instructions if you're running late.
For Companies
B2B offerings are programs for teams and organizations, e.g. workshops, experience formats, and app access for employees. The goal is to support mental fitness, reset routines, and focus in everyday work life.
Next step (for you): More information and enquiry: https://www.be-light.app/for-companies (or by email to os@be-light.app).
A workshop is a moderated format with a clear agenda (intro, experience, reflection, transfer to work life). Depending on the target group, it can include scientific context, breathwork/journaling, and a BE LIGHT session.
Next step (for you): Book a kickoff call to define goal, duration, group size, and setup.
Requirements are framework conditions for the format to run smoothly. Typically: a quiet room, power/audio, optionally a screen/light setup, and a time window of 20–60 minutes.
Next step (for you): Choose a pilot format and clarify the setup checklist in the initial call.
Integration means embedding BE LIGHT as a module in an existing wellbeing offering (e.g. workshop series, event series, app access). It often works best via a pilot.
Next step (for you): Start with a 4–6 week pilot and define simple success metrics (participation, feedback, self-ratings).
Data protection means personal and usage data is processed according to clear rules. Depending on setup, analytics data may be anonymized; B2B requirements (e.g. DPA, reporting) are coordinated.
Next step (for you): Read the Privacy Policy: https://www.be-light.app/privacy-policy and share your requirements in the kickoff.
Licensing means companies book access or modules as a package (e.g. per team, time period, or workshop/event). Pricing typically depends on headcount, format, and duration.
Next step (for you): Send an enquiry with team size, desired format, and start date to os@be-light.app to receive a tailored proposal.
Procurement means documenting scope, price, and legal framework in writing. Companies often need an invoice, payment terms, and possibly a DPA (data processing agreement).
Next step (for you): Share your procurement requirements via https://www.be-light.app/for-companies so we can send a proposal/contract and — if needed — a DPA.
Reporting means aggregated insights into usage or participation without unnecessarily exposing personal data. Which reports are possible depends on the setup and data protection requirements.
Next step (for you): Define which metrics you need in the kickoff (e.g. participation rate, feedback scores) and agree on a privacy-compliant reporting option.
